JAKARTA - Celebrate the successful acquisition and the launch of the company’s new brand identity, PT. Nippon Koei Energy Indonesia (NKEI) hosted a Staff Town Hall to commemorate the beginning of its new chapter. The event marked the official introduction of the company’s refreshed brand identity and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the values and quality that have long defined its operations in Indonesia.

Although the company continues to operate from the same office location, it now moves forward under a new corporate name, reflecting its integration into the global network of ID&E Holdings. The company emphasized that despite the rebranding, its longstanding philosophy, professional standards, and client-focused approach remain unchanged.

Message from Mr. Anggiat Sitorus, Country Director of NKEI:
“I’m proud to share an important milestone in our company’s journey. As of November 4, 2025, PT. Tractebel Engineering Indonesia has officially become PT. Nippon Koei Energy Indonesia, joining the Integrated Design & Engineering Holdings (ID&E) Group.

From the establishment of PT. Tractebel Engineering Indonesia, we’ve succeeded to deliver various sustainable projects in Indonesia, i.e. supporting the implementation of 1st utility-scale off-grid RE project, supporting the implementation of 1st utility-scale on-grid floating PV project, supporting the implementation of the largest capacity of CCGT project, and supporting our clients to develop RE project technology such as PV + BESS, wind, hydro, and waste to energy (WtE). I’m really proud of what our team have achieved!

With this new transformation, it marks a new chapter for us – strengthening our commitment to delivering engineering excellence and sustainable energy solutions to our clients, partners, and for the greater objective to support the decarbonization in the region and Indonesia specifically.

While our name has changed, our dedication, values, and passion remain the same. Excited to move forward with our amazing team under the ID&E Group."

Message from Mr. Koichi NISHIMURA, President Director of NKEI:
“Following this transaction, the ID&E Group has a new presence in Southeast Asia. By leveraging the expertise we have developed in the battery business in Europe and combining it with our proven track record and the strengths of our existing local subsidiaries in the region, we are committed to delivering comprehensive solutions that meet the diverse needs of our customers.”

The event also featured two symbolic ceremonies — the Indonesian tumpeng cutting and Japan’s traditional Kagami Biraki barrel opening. Although rooted in different cultures, both rituals share the same meaning: a gesture of gratitude, unity, and a hopeful beginning. Conducting both ceremonies side by side reflected the harmonious integration of the two organizations as they embark on a new chapter under one identity.
